When to use Tags & Lists

You would use Lists to segment groups of Contacts from your overall list, then use Tags to narrow those groups down further. An example of this would be having your Contacts in a Sequence, you can use Lists and Tagging to complete tasks in one button to get specific with the data

How to Tag a Contact in Postal

  • In order to Tag a Contact in Postal: check the appropriate clients wanting to add a Tag to from your Contact list > click the Tag icon (gift tag) > select from the existing selection appropriate tags (or type in a new tag name, separated by a comma and space in between each) > click Confirm
  • In order to Tag a Contact in Postal Everywhere: On your integrated partner’s page, bring up your contact > click the Postal Everywhere button > click the pen icon in the Tags section > check the appropriate box to add tags, or option to create a new one by typing in the name of the tag & click the green check mark to add to list and assign tag
  • In order to remove a Tag: look up the Contact > click the pen icon, or Actions button in the top right-hand corner and select “Edit Profile” > delete any Tags you would no longer like to be associated with this Contact > click Update Contact
  • In order to remove a Tag in Postal Everywhere: On your integrated partner’s page, bring up your contact > click the Postal Everywhere button > click the pen icon in the Tags section > uncheck the appropriate box to remove tags

How to create a List in Postal

  • In order to create a List in Postal: Select the Contacts you’d like to add to a new List > once your Contacts have been selected, click the ID card icon (Save to List) > type name of List in second box, New List Name > click Confirm to save > new Lists will be displayed on the left under, Saved Lists
  • In order to create a List in Postal with Postal Everywhere: On your integrated partner’s page, bring up your contact > click the Postal Everywhere button > click the pen icon in the Lists section > check the appropriate box to add contact to selected lists, or option to create a new one by typing in the name of the List & click the green check mark to add to options and assign to List
  • In order to remove a Contact from a list: Select the Saved List you’d like to edit > select Contact(s) you’d like to remove from the List > once your Contact(s) have been selected, click the ID card icon (Save to List) > click Confirm to remove selected Contacts from the saved list
  • In order to remove a Contact from the list in Postal Everywhere: On your integrated partner’s page, bring up your contact > click the Postal Everywhere button > click the pen icon in the Lists section > uncheck the appropriate box to remove contact from selected list(s)
